I thought it would be fun to rewrite the lyrics for this melody to express something about the joy felt in singing and playing music. I tried to write this such that the general feeling of the Christmas holiday was still present. I also decided to recycle the melody from Rocky Mountain Sunrise because it seemed to work well with the rest of the piece. When I write pieces for piano I generally write music that I could play, which is why my piano pieces and piano parts tend to be quite simple (unless I'm experimenting on Finale).
