I wanted another piece that sounded like a pirate adventure on the open seas. I came up with the oboe melody on the keyboard, and the cello part came from playing around on my cello. I added the timpani to give the piece an extra punch of “epic.” This is another one of my favorite pieces that I composed in this era of my life. I am particularly proud of the way the oboe and cello melodies work together.

T. 37--Voyage
