T, 34--Rocky Mountain Sunrise

I started playing around on a piano one morning, and developed this piece that day. I don’t remember if I had been exposed to Jon Schmidt’s Waterfall before I composed this, but I've noticed a few similarities. Granted, Schmidt’s piece is much better than mine, but they both feature a driving eighth-note pulse and a very pleasant, positive mood. I wrote this piece without a title, and I struggled to think of a good one. Playing and composing this piece had a calming effect on me. It made me happy. It felt like a sunrise over a beautiful landscape of mountains, hence the title I finally settled on. Notice the main melody from the Bandonna duet; I didn’t notice that until now.
