T. 32--Pirates Rock!

This piece is a lot of fun for me to play! It was directly inspired by the soundtrack for the first Pirates of the Caribbean film. I was so impressed and inspired by the music that I wanted to create something like it. I learned how to play some of the film’s musical themes on the piano. Then, I started playing around on the piano to get several neat rhythms and melodies that I combined to make this piece. I call it Pirates Rock! because it is based on music for a pirates movie, but the rhythms suggest a much more contemporary setting, like that of rock music. Pirates + rock music = Pirates Rock!
